The mine shaft that now seems to somehow make up most of Afterglow County's economy, The Shaft is a darker place than the tunnels suggest. Most of the miners are petty crooks, but keep an eye out if you run into a task master while snooping about, because those are, no doubt, the greatest criminals of all.
